The National Port Authority offers marine services to shipping lines servicing all ports within our network. The Department of Marine Services, based in the Freeport of Monrovia, boasts a team of first-rate pilots and engineers with combined expertise of over 40 years in the seaport industry. The depth and width of their knowledge in piloting and towage have contributed to an exceptional record of guiding crafts, large and small, in and out of the NPA basins. 

Our marine team is led by Harbour Master Captain Armett Epaphroditus Hill, an internationally recognized sea captain who represented the nation at the International Maritime Organization and also boasts an impressive resume that includes Commandant at Liberia’s only Marine Training Institute and the Canadian Coast Guard.
